A natural hybrid between Phalaenopsis aphrodite and Phalaenopsis equestris

This is a good specimen. The lip is mostly pink. The petals and sepals are not so recurved, with a roundness to them.

From a vendor from Quezon province, probably in the Mt. Banahaw area.

Dendrobium fit for a queen.

This is one of those orchids with blue flowers. Some vandas are blue, but among Philippine dendrobiums this is the only blue bloom that I know of. I don't know of any other blue dendrobium either, outside of this country.

This plant is in my farm. They were obtained from Nueva Vizcaya.

I am partial to white flowers.

I don't know why they keep on blasting.

Particularly susceptible
are Vanda lindennii,
Aerides leeana,
Aerides odorata,
and various
bulbophyllums.
No or little effect
on Vanda lamellata.

To stake my claim!

One day these pages shall bear random musings about Philippine orchid species.
